Hope the information helps. I have purchased the appropriate cables to connect with my macbook to discover that the monitor software doesnt have a mac driver and the AOC website says to download a Mac Plug and Play driver to work with the monitor.
Just double click the zip file and follow the instructions.

You might be able to tweak it a bit with xrandr and cvt but don't expect to show video. But I am unable to use the keyboard to adjust brightness levels on the fly. Something to bare in mind is the refresh rate is really low because of the low data rates of USB2, this meant that connecting this display made all the other displays i use drop down to 30hz which felt horribly laggy compared to the normal 60hz. What is the make and model of the computer? Don't be tempted to unplug this device if this display is still active, it will crash X when its unplugged.

Open the download folder which contains the setup file of the latest driver that you have downloaded. I am having a problem as s2070swn does not seem to be an application to install from.
After checking with Dell which claims they don't have a driver that is compatible with 8. If you are buying this in the UK you could just try it and return it in accordance with the distance selling regulations, might cost you the postage.
